Agency AI is an AI consultancy and engineering partner based in Glasgow, Scotland.
We are a team of senior software engineers who design, build, and deploy AI solutions for established businesses working in complex, traditional industries.
Our engineers work as an extension of your team, inside your operations, building systems that remove friction, reduce costs, and increase efficiency in the processes you run every day.
Large enterprises bring in consultancies such as Capgemini or KPMG to rebuild their processes around AI. OpenAI has now set up a $4bn company to do the same.
Mid-sized businesses have the data and the potential, but fall outside that scope. They are offered Copilot licences and AI bolt-ons that save a little time, but come nowhere near what AI can do.
We bring the same standard of enterprise-level AI engineering to mid-sized businesses. Our senior engineers redesign your processes around AI, build them alongside your teams and train your people to use them. Think of us as your fractional AI engineering partner.

Peacock came to us with a problem off-the-shelf software couldn’t solve. Its order processing depends on more than 20 of the company’s own rules, so every order has to be checked and validated by a person, taking 3–4 minutes per order. Peacock wanted a more efficient way to relieve pressure on the team during the winter peak.
We built Peacock a bespoke AI order processing solution. It reads the tens of thousands of orders Peacock receives each year, applies those rules, converts quantities into what the customer intended, and submits each order directly into Microsoft Dynamics 365. It was trained and tested on around 100,000 past orders.
“AI was something we had been considering for a while, and we wanted to do it properly, with a partner who understood how our business actually works. The systems Agency AI has built are already helping our teams, and we are going into our busiest season in a stronger position.”Gregorie MarshallManaging Director, Peacock SaltRead the full case study →
We work with you to find the biggest friction points in your operations, then build a solution for each one. Here are some we have solved for other businesses.
Up to 8 minutes per enquiry checking the ERP and haulier portals for a delivery update.
What we builtAn AI agent that has the order status and latest delivery update ready before the team opens the enquiry.
Sales, product and customer data spread across several systems, with no view of the whole business.
What we builtA bespoke AI data warehouse that brings it into one place, so leadership can see trends, ask questions and make data-driven decisions.
Delivery notes, invoices and credit notes in every format, entered by hand into several systems.
What we builtA procurement agent that reads thousands of documents, extracts every line item, creates purchase orders and tracks each job against budget in real time.
Off-the-shelf task tools were static. They could not run processes across teams, pull in other data, or work the way the business does.
A fully bespoke AI operating system, built for how the business runs. It:
Facing a problem like these?
Talk it through with Max and leave with a clear view of how AI can solve it.
A conversation with Max, our founder, about your AI strategy and the processes that cost your business the most time.
We map those processes, confirm where AI will pay back, and set out the scope and cost of each change in an AI roadmap. Nothing is built until you approve it.
Our engineers build each system in your environment, alongside your team, and give your people AI agents and assistants that help them work faster. We stay on to run it, then move on to the next process.
Max Modlin
Founder, Agency AI
Agency AI was founded by Max Modlin, who has spent a decade building automation and AI systems at Morgan Stanley, Aberdeen Standard and Barclays, as a Director-level engineer at Morgan Stanley and a VP and Lead AI Engineer at Barclays. Max builds engineering teams that work to his standard, and the people you meet at the start are the people who build your system.
A consultancy advises on where AI should be used. An agency builds the systems. We do both, with the same senior engineers, so the advice reflects what it takes to run a system in production.
Copilot helps individuals write and search faster inside Microsoft 365. We build systems that complete a defined piece of work from start to finish, such as reading an order and entering it into Business Central, using your rules and your data.
Yes. Every system runs inside your own cloud tenancy and uses the same permissions as your people, nothing more. Each action the AI takes is validated and logged, and anything uncertain is held for a member of your team to decide.
No. We build and maintain the data connections each system needs. From your side, we need the people who know the process and can make decisions about it.
The roadmap sets out the expected return before anything is built, and the first project is deliberately small: one process, measured against the work it replaced. If the return is not there, we will say so before you spend on the build.
The first system is typically in production within weeks. We start with the process where the return is clearest and expand from there. See how long AI implementation takes.
Yes. We are based in Glasgow and work with established businesses across Scotland and the rest of the UK, in person for discovery and go-live, and remotely for the build.
Tell us where your team loses the most time. Max will review it and come back to you with whether AI pays there and what it would take to build.
